Auto Renew and Membership Cancellation Policy

  • By becoming a member of the Association of Artist Managers (AAM), you agree to comply with the AAM’s Constitution, the AAM Code of Conduct, and the terms outlined below, including this Auto Renewal and Cancellation Policy. Where there is any inconsistency, the Constitution takes precedence.

  •  2.1 Membership Term

    • Memberships are valid for twelve (12) months from the date of admission or renewal

    • The minimum membership term is 1 year. Membership fees are non-refundable once the membership has commenced, except where specified in this Policy.

    2.2 Auto Renewal (Optional)

    • Members may choose to opt-in to Auto Renew.

    • If opted in, payment for your annual membership fee will be automatically taken from your registered card on the anniversary of your joining date.

    • You will receive an email confirmation once your payment has been processed.

    • Members are responsible for ensuring their contact and payment information is accurate and up to date. Non-receipt of renewal reminders is not grounds for a refund.

    • If your payment fails, you will receive up to two (2) notifications to update your details. If not corrected, your membership may lapse. For manual renewals, the Constitution allows up to 90 days from the renewal notice to make payment before membership ceases (Clause 5.1e).

    2.3 Opting Out

    Members can opt-out of automatic renewal at any time via their account dashboard or by contacting info@aam.org.au. Members who do not opt-in to automatic renewal will need to renew manually each year.

  • 3.1 Resignation (Before Renewal)

    • In line with Clause 7 of the Constitution, members may resign from the AAM by giving at least one (1) month’s written notice to the AAM Executive Director (via info@aam.org.au), unless the Board determines otherwise.

    3.2 After Renewal (Refunds)

    • Members whose membership has renewed automatically may request a full refund within thirty (30) days of the renewal date, provided no member benefits (such as event attendance, access to member resources, or services) have been accessed during that period.

    • Only one (1) refund per member per lifetime will be issued for automatic renewals.

    • Refund requests will not be accepted after 30 days from renewal or where benefits have been used.

    3.3 Suspension or Disciplinary Action

    Members under suspension or disciplinary investigation cannot resign or cancel their membership during that period, in line with Constitution Clauses 12–13.

  •  4.1 Grounds for Cancellation

    • AAM reserves the right to cancel membership for:
      > Non-payment of fees (Clause 5.1e),
      > Breach of the AAM Code of Conduct, or
      > At the discretion of the Board in line with Clauses 12–13 of the Constitution.

    4.2 Notification

    •  Members will be notified by email if their membership is cancelled. No compensation will be provided for cancellation due to disciplinary action.

    • Members are encouraged to review their renewal communications and maintain up-to-date contact information.

    • This Policy should be read in conjunction with the AAM Constitution. In the event of conflict, the Constitution prevails.
