The Seed Fund - 2014 Applications Open Now!

In 2014, the Seed Fund turns 10 and continues to support emerging musicians, artists and arts workers via three grant categories and two initiatives. The anticipated Management Workshop is back after taking a year off and returns with the "Money for Managers" grant.

Money for Managers || Grants of up to $5,000 || Up to three opportunities available

WHO FOR: Managers who have previously attended The Seed Management Workshop

WHAT: To supplement emerging managers income during a period of heavy workload and limited commission (eg setting up for the release of an album or tour campaign). The grant is available across two scenarios:

1. A manager's age to be set at $500 per week as supplementary amount to commission
2. A manager to pay an assistant (capped at $25 per hour). Payments must only be made towards wages (no travel or oncsts to be covered).

"The seed is such a fantastic organisatio - run by amazing people doing great things, and it's a privledge to be part of The Seed Community. The Money for Managers grant allowed me to bring an extra help to assist in executing two succesful release campaigns within a short period of time. Without it, I wouldn't have been able to commit the resources required to do the artists campaigns justice." Anthony Zaccaria (Loon Lake)

Management Workshop || Up to 25 opportunities available

WHO FOR: Australian emerging managers including self managed artists

WHY: The management workshop is a one stop show for practical strategies to manager artists in the establishment phase of their career. In the creative industries where there is no set path, we believe the most effective way to learn is by sharing knowledge and seeking out those who have gone before. Providing access to an unrivalled list of industry experts from managers to publishers, lawyers, publicists, promoters and media representatives, the Management Workshop provides an opportunity for managers to come face to face with leaders in their field.

HOW: Applicantions will be accepted from managers, including self managed aritsts. The See will provide and arrange transport, accomodation and meals for all successful applicants. Should you be successful all you need to do is get yourself to the closeest airport!
