Participants announced for CONTROL
Fifteen music managers have been selected to participate in the six month program. Queensland will provide the bigest contingent: Maggie Collins, Daniel Dow, Tim Price, Ben Preece and Paul Watson. New South Wales will be representd by four managers: Briese Abbott, Catherine Kirkpatrick, Blake Rayner and Meg Williams. Joining them from Victoria will be Bonnie Dalton, Tom Larkin and Anthony Zaccaria. The remaining places in the program will be taken by Dario Phillips from Tasmania, and Matt Johnson and Jacob Snell from WA.
"This year CONTROL has not only attracted music managers from all over the country," said Denise Foley Chair of AMIN (Australian Music Industry Network), "It's great to see the diversity of the industry being reflected in the program."
"If past programs are anything to go by," added Mariel Beros, CONTROL Course Coordinator, "A good number of these managers are going to find that CONTROL will be a turning point for them, and not just in the way they do business, but in how they live their lives."
CONTROL will feature respected music managers and business specialists. Mentors in the program will include leading Australian based managers Cath Haridy (AAM Chairperson) and Andy Kelly.

CONTROL incorporates two residential workshops. The first will be held in Terrigal near Sydney in late November, the second at the end of the program in May 2013. Music industry advocate and lawyer Shane Simpson will moderate the Terrigal workshops, which marks the start of the five-stage program.
The program is presented by the Australian Music Industry Network and supported by the Association of Artist Managers. Funding for this inititiative has been provided by the Australian Government.
