AAM appoint new Executive Director and farewell Nicole B-Z
The peak body for music managers in Australia, The Association of Artist Managers, has today announced Meg Williams as the association’s new Executive Director, starting immediately.
Meg Williams is a young artist manager herself, representing the careers of Melodie Nelson, megastick fanfare and Shady Lane, and whose work for MusicNSW as Indent Project Manager and Sound Summit Coordinator established her as a clear candidate to continue the achievements of the AAM.
Catherine Haridy, the AAM Chairperson, said the appointment comes at a time of strength for the organisation, a strength that is due in large part to the exiting Executive Director Nicole Brant –Zawadzki:
“The AAM is honoured to bring Meg Williams into the fold as executive director. As an active and vibrant young manager herself, Meg's experience will be invaluable in launching the organisation into a new era of exciting challenges, from an advocacy perspective and in order to bring more opportunities of value to our membership, including a new online mentoring program.”
“We thank Nicole B-Z for the amazing work she's performed for the organisation, helping to take us nationally and deliver many valuable opportunities for our members."
“The AAM is one of the most active associations for music managers around the world,” explains Meg, “I feel extremely privileged to represent an impressive membership base and inspired to be working with the current Board of Directors, to grow the skills and capacity for artist management in Australia.”
The AAM’s members include some of the most established and emerging artist managers, and some of the best in the country. The AAM represents the interests of it’s members and their artists through advocacy, workshops, networking opportunities and exclusive events.
