Structure
There are four levels of membership in the AAM:
1. Executive Member
a) An Executive Member shall be a manager who has:
i) managed clients who have achieved Gold status or greater with sales of their recordings in Australia or elsewhere or
ii) managed clients who have achieved significant commercial or critical success outside of Australia or
iii) has in their own right made a substantial contribution to Australian music and
iv) at the sole discretion of the Council, would be a valuable contributing member of the AAM.
b) An Executive Member shall have the right
i) to vote on all matters put before the AAM Assembly of Members and the Council
ii) may stand for position on the Council or the Secretariat
2. General Member
a) A General Member shall be a person who:
i) by their activity in the music industry shows an ability and desire to work with artists in a managerial capacity and
ii) has shown a desire and ability to enhance the careers and professional standing of their clients throughout the world, and a desire and or an ability to work with others in a sense of community and
iii) is considered at the sole discretion of the Secretariat to be a valuable contributing member of the AAM;
b) A General Member shall have the right
i) to vote on all matters put before the AAM Assembly of Members
ii) may not vote on Election of Secretariat members.
3. Intermediate Membership
a) An Intermediate Member shall be a person who:
i) by their activity in the music industry shows a desire to work with artists in a management capacity but relies on external income to support their burgeoning artist management career
ii) has or is currently studying artist management, engaged in work experience witithin music management or assisting established music managers
iii) is considered at the sole discretion of the Secretariat to be a valuable contributing member of the AAM;
b) An Intermediate Member shall have the right:
i) to be included in all AAM communication except the General and Executive Member Forum
ii) may not vote on Election of Secretariat members.
4. Associate Membership
a) An Associate Member shall be a person who:
i) is interested in Music Management
ii) plans on engaging in the study or profession of music management
iii) works within other associated or connected areas of the music industry
b) An Associate Member shall have the right:
i) to be included in all AAM communication except the Intermediate, General and Executive Member Forum
ii) may not vote on Election of Secretariat members.
